At Belmont Cooperative Nursery School, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and play-based environment for children to learn and grow. Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a nurturing community grounded in a commitment to the Reggio Emilia educational philosophy and a cooperative model of family engagement. We believe in fostering learning through play and valuing the strong partnership between children, teachers, and parents. Inquiry, community building, and mutual respect are the basic tenets that guide our daily practice as we set out to broaden the children's sense of self through self-exploration, community collaboration, and environmental stewardship.

Our Educational Philosophy

We view each child as beautiful, capable, curious, and unique, and each year our curriculum emerges through careful observation of the children by our teaching staff to reflect the interests of the children. Our Reggio Emilia-inspired approach focuses on child-led learning, where children are encouraged to explore and discover their surroundings, and our teachers act as facilitators and guides to support their learning journey.

Our Programs

We offer a range of programs designed to cater to the needs of children aged 2 years 9 months to 5 years old. Our programs include classes and schedules, enrichment programs, after-school programs, stay and play, and more. We also offer virtual tours and visits and tours for parents who are interested in learning more about our school.

Community Events

We believe in building a strong community through various events and activities that bring parents, teachers, and children together. We organize community events throughout the year, including fundraising events, parent-teacher conferences, and more. These events provide an opportunity for our community to come together, socialize, and learn from each other.
