Our Story
Our journey began in 1964 when John Badman came to Syracuse to pursue his studies at Simmons School of Embalming and Mortuary Science. Driven by a desire to serve his community, John started working at the John G. Butler Funeral Home. Over the years, his dedication, work ethic, and commitment to excellence led him to become the owner of the Salina Street funeral home in 1979. His vision of a modern and accessible facility led to the construction of our current location in Onondaga Hill in 1980.
Our Team
Our compassionate and experienced staff is led by John D. Badman, the current owner and president of Butler-Badman Funeral Home. Supported by his son-in-law, Joseph Matt, and his eldest son, John Badman Jr., we work together to ensure that every family receives the personalized and attentive care they deserve.
