Mary Jo Small Child Care Center at Brookland Woods is a non-profit, licensed childcare center located on the University of Iowa campus, providing care to the Iowa City community since 1972. We offer a unique program that creates a fun and happy atmosphere, with child-centered and open-ended play opportunities, caring adults, and endless opportunities for exploration, creativity, and self-directed play. Our experienced staff, with a director-to-child ratio of 6:1, provide individualized attention and support to each child, allowing them to develop at their own unique pace. With full and part-time enrollment options, we accommodate all families' needs and offer a year-round program, closing only for University of Iowa holidays, spring break, and inclement weather.
