Turtle Island Pottery is a studio and showroom located in the mountains of North Carolina, producing handmade stoneware pottery that is functional, sculptural, and decorative. Since 1984, Maggie and Freeman Jones have been creating a wide range of pieces, from traditional forms to more contemporary and whimsical designs. Their work is inspired by antique forms, nature, and the Fibonacci sequences. The potters use clay to create bold color combinations, joyful curves, and whimsical adornments to amuse and please the eye. The studio is located in a small house just 2.5 miles south of I-40 exit 73 at Old Fort, NC, and welcome visitors to come and explore their showroom. Whether you're looking for a functional piece for your kitchen or home, or a decorative piece to add a touch of elegance to your space, Turtle Island Pottery has something for everyone.
