Welcome to Be Real Pilates, where our mission is to empower all bodies to live their best lives through the power of Pilates. At Be Real Pilates, we believe that every body is a Pilates body, regardless of age, ability, fitness level, size, or shape. Our studio is a judgement-free zone where individuals can feel comfortable, relaxed, and supported in their Pilates journey.

About Me

Hi, I'm Tiffany Bennett, the owner and instructor at Be Real Pilates. I'm a classically trained Pilates instructor with a passion for body movement, body acceptance, community, and the radical liberation of all bodies and beings. My journey with Pilates began in 2011, when I was struggling with chronic pain and chronic illness. Through Pilates, I found relief and transformation, and I became determined to share this powerful practice with others.

Our Services

At Be Real Pilates, we offer private, semi-private, and group Pilates instruction in our private studio located off of Piedmont Avenue in Oakland, California. We also offer remote online sessions and house calls for those who cannot attend our studio. Our sessions are 50 minutes long, and we require 24 hours' notice for cancellations to avoid being charged in full.

Rates

Our rates vary depending on the type of session and package you choose. Please contact us directly for our current rates and to learn more about our packages. We accept personal checks and all major credit cards via Square, with a 3% service charge for Square transactions.

Pilates is a method of controlled stretch and strength that emphasizes precision and proper alignment using various apparatus. It is a non-impact system of exercise that can be modified to suit all bodies and abilities.

Getting Here

Our studio is conveniently located just off of Piedmont Avenue in Oakland, California. We're within walking distance of the MacArthur BART station and several AC Transit bus lines. We also offer free two-hour parking for those who choose to drive. And, for our cycling friends, there's a secure bike rack outside the studio.
