Your journey, well-crafted, one step at a time.
At Elizabeth Fees Counseling, I believe each individual has a unique journey and story shaping who they are. Sometimes, we find ourselves struggling with anxieties, trauma, grief, or other challenges that impact our well-being. I am dedicated to providing a safe and supportive space where you can explore your concerns, deepen self-understanding, and cultivate meaningful change.
My Approach to Therapy
My therapeutic philosophy is influenced by various schools of thought, including relational and psychodynamic approaches. I believe genuine connection and empathy are instrumental in fostering healing and growth. By creating a collaborative and compassionate environment, I aim to empower you to explore your inner world, process your emotions, and develop new coping mechanisms.
Specifically, I utilize:
- Attachment theory: To understand the impact of early relationships and secure attachment styles on your current behaviors and emotional responses.
- Family systems theory: To explore how family dynamics and interactions influence your emotional well-being.
- Object relations theory: To uncover unconscious patterns and defenses that might be hindering your growth.
- Mindfulness: To train your mind to be more aware of your thoughts and behaviors, and develop present-moment awareness.

I have experience supporting individuals with:

- Family of origin issues
- Grief and loss
- Infertility
- Life transitions
