Meet Our Team
Our team of veterinarians is dedicated to providing the highest level of care for your pet. Dr. Mark Schlesinger, Dr. Colleen Madden, and Dr. James Garcia are highly skilled and experienced in a wide range of veterinary services. They are committed to staying up-to-date on modern medicine and providing personalized care for every patient. Our veterinary staff is also committed to providing exceptional care and ensuring that your pet is comfortable and well-cared for during their visit.
Dr. Colleen Madden obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Zoology in 2000 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2004, both from The Ohio State University. She has a special interest in creating a positive environment for her patients and has been Fear Free certified since 2017. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and being active outdoors.
Dr. James Garcia was born on Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. After moving several times, his family settled in Wellington, Ohio when he was 11-years-old. He joined the United States Air Force where he served as a computer programmer for six years. He later completed his undergraduate studies in Biology and received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in May of 2013. He has been practicing in South East Michigan and on the eastern coast of Florida before joining our team.
Our Services
At Rocky River Animal Hospital, we offer a wide range of services to meet the needs of your pet. Our comprehensive wellness care includes routine wellness exams, vaccinations, and personalized advice on all aspects of your pet's care. Preventative services include dental care, parasite prevention, and nutritional counseling. Our surgical services include spay and neuter procedures, soft tissue surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries. We also offer diagnostic services, including digital radiography, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory testing. End of life care is also provided with compassion and dignity for your pet.
Our laboratory services include complete blood counts, chemistry panels, urinalysis, fecal exams, and cytology. We also offer microchipping for permanent identification of your pet. Nutritional counseling and pharmacy services are available to ensure your pet receives the best possible care. Urgent care services are provided during business hours for unexpected illnesses or injuries.
Education and Resources
We believe that education is an important part of pet care. That's why we offer a variety of educational resources, including helpful articles, links, and educational videos. We also provide new client resources to help you get started on the right foot. Our team is always available to answer any questions you may have and to provide guidance and support for your pet's health and well-being.
