Our Story
Born and raised in Mexico, Chef Gerardo Castro's passion for cooking was ignited at a young age, influenced by his mother's love for food and his family's farm-to-table approach. After relocating to California, Chef Castro pursued his culinary dreams, attending the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) in Napa Valley. His impressive journey includes stints as executive sous-chef at Farmstead Restaurant and executive chef at Tarla Mediterranean Grill, as well as working alongside renowned chefs at Cavallo Point. With a wealth of experience and a true artist's passion, Chef Castro founded Castro Catering & Private Chef to share his love for food and bring people together through unforgettable dining experiences.
