Comprehensive Personal Training Program

At Nantucket Health Club, we understand that every individual has unique fitness goals and needs. That's why we offer the most comprehensive and professional personal training program on Nantucket. Our nationally certified personal trainers work with clients to create individualized comprehensive exercise programs tailored to their specific goals and needs. Whether your goal is to decrease body weight, increase strength, improve cardiovascular fitness, post-injury/rehabilitation, train for a sport or to reduce stress and improve quality of life through fitness, our personal trainers are here to help you achieve your goals.

Expert Personal Trainers

Our team of expert personal trainers is led by Dave Schulz, a certified Personal Trainer and Medical Exercise Specialist. Dave not only works with clients looking to improve their health and fitness level, but he also has the knowledge and skills to work with clients with a wide range of medical conditions after completion of a rehabilitation program. Dave has developed medical fitness programs for clients with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, spinal stenosis, hip and knee replacement, ACL rupture, meniscus tear, rotator cuff tear, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, just to name a few. If you need a fitness program tailored to a particular medical condition, Dave is available to assist you.

Pilates at NHC

At Nantucket Health Club, we also offer Pilates classes for all levels. Sandy Schulz, our Pilates instructor, is a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT) and member of the Pilates Method Alliance. She completed her comprehensive teacher training through Power Pilates under the supervision of Kathy Van Patten, Nora Gomez Dears and Nancy Keating. She has also completed comprehensive teacher training through Classical Pilates Education based in Boca Raton, Florida. Sandy is a certified Post-Operative Breast Reconstructive Movement Specialist from The Pink Ribbon Program offering classes and private instruction for those recovering from breast cancer. She is a licensed Buff Bones instructor, teaching a medically-endorsed workout that combines Pilates with bone-strengthening and balance techniques safe for those with osteoporosis and other medical conditions. Sandy is also a certified instructor for Pilates for MS and Neurological Conditions.

Red Light Therapy

Red light therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses low-level red light wavelengths to promote healing and skin rejuvenation. Nantucket Health Club offers red light therapy sessions to help clients with pain management, skin conditions, and overall well-being. Red light therapy has been shown to reduce inflammation, improve skin texture, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and promote healing. Our red light therapy bed is safe, effective, and a great addition to any fitness routine.
