After her infant daughter was misdiagnosed and prescribed the wrong medication, Gloria took it upon herself to learn everything she could about holistic health and nutrition. This experience sparked her passion for creating a new lifestyle that would promote extraordinary health for herself and her family.

Gloria's journey continued as she moved to California and became interested in weight training. She started researching, reading, learning, and experimenting with weight-bearing exercises. Her body began to feel strong and lean, and she knew from that moment on that weight training would always be a part of her exercise routine.

In the late 1970s, Gloria was introduced to the concept of fasting. She started fasting a few times a year, and it became an intrinsic part of her health plan. As she continued to educate herself, she began sharing her knowledge and experience with others who sought her advice. Over the years, she developed a unique lifestyle-change program for weight release, incorporating fasting as one of the main foundational tools for change.
