Effective, Aggressive, and Client-Directed Representation

The Phoenix School is a non-profit, child-centered school dedicated to fostering the well-being and development of the whole child in a warm and nurturing environment. We believe that young children learn best by doing, and therefore, we immerse our students in an enriching environment that encourages active thinking and experimenting.

Our Mission

We, as staff and parents of The Phoenix School, believe that a quality early childhood program must meet the needs of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. We are committed to offering a program that is led by an experienced, well-trained staff dedicated to early childhood education through the use of developmentally appropriate practice and a positive, loving attitude toward children.

Our Services

The Phoenix School offers a range of services designed to promote the cognitive, social, and emotional development of children from infancy to preschool age. Our infant program is led by teachers who have cumulative experience of over 50 years working with infants. Our teacher-infant ratio is 1:4, allowing for plenty of individualized attention.

Our toddler program is divided into three age groups: Young Toddlers (12-24 months), Older Toddlers (24-36 months), and Preschoolers (36-48 months). Each group has a dedicated teacher and a teacher-student ratio that ensures personalized attention.

Our Preschool program is designed for children aged 3-4 years and is aligned with the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS). Our curriculum approach is based on High/Scope, which emphasizes learning through play and hands-on activities.

Enrichment Programs

We believe that children should be exposed to opportunities that offer "hands-on" learning experiences and play for their physical, intellectual, emotional, and social growth. Therefore, we provide a range of enrichment programs, including music, Spanish, dance, yoga, and soccer. These programs not only promote socialization and teamwork but also encourage creativity and self-expression.

About Our Staff

Our teachers are dedicated professionals who are passionate about early childhood education. They are well-trained, experienced, and committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for our children. Meet our teachers and learn more about their qualifications and experience.

Get Involved

We believe that parental involvement is essential to a child's educational journey. We encourage parents to participate in school events, volunteer, and attend parent-teacher conferences. We also offer opportunities for parents to get involved in school governance and decision-making processes.

Donate

The Phoenix School relies on fundraising opportunities to support its operations. Your contributions help us provide quality early childhood education to our students. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to support our mission.
