For over 40 years, Morningside Day Out (MDO) has been providing high-quality, secular early education programs for children aged 6 months to Pre-K. Our half-day classes are designed to foster a love of learning and a sense of community, while promoting social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Our Philosophy
At MDO, we believe that children learn best through play and discovery. Our curriculum is rich in music, art, creative expression, gardening, and sensory experiences. We believe that every child is unique and that they thrive in an environment that is engaging, interactive, and tailored to their individual needs.
Our Programs
We offer a range of programs for children aged 6 months to 5 years, including:
- Babies (6-12 months by September 1)
- Ones (1 year old by September 1)
- Twos (2 years old by September 1)
- Threes (3 years old by September 1)
- Pre-K (4 years old by September 1)
Our school hours are 9 am to 1 pm, Monday to Friday, following the Dekalb County school calendar for the regular school year.
Enrichment Activities
Our enrichment activities are designed to stimulate children's curiosity and creativity. These activities include:
- Weekly music class
- Yoga class
- Special visits from storytellers, performers, and community helpers
- Enrichment programs, such as STEM classes, drama classes, dance classes, soccer, and other sports activities
