Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to presenting and preserving the arts in Columbus, Ohio. Our mission is to ensure that the performing arts remain an integral part of our community's culture and education. We strive to provide a diverse range of artistic experiences that inspire, educate, and entertain audiences of all ages.

At CAPA, we believe that the arts have the power to transform individuals and communities. Our Services

CAPA manages and maintains several historic theaters in Columbus, including the Ohio Theatre, Palace Theatre, Southern Theatre, Riffe Center Theatre Complex, McCoy Center, and Drexel Theatre. We present a wide range of performances and events at these venues, including Broadway shows, concerts, films, and educational programs.

Broadway Shows

CAPA is the leading presenter of Broadway shows in Columbus. Our Broadway series features some of the most popular and critically acclaimed productions on tour, including Disney's The Lion King, MJ The Musical, Peter Pan, & Juliet, Funny Girl, A Beautiful Noise, Kimberly Akimbo, and Hamilton. We are committed to bringing the best of Broadway to Columbus and providing our audiences with unforgettable theatrical experiences.

Concerts

CAPA presents a variety of concerts featuring local, regional, and national acts. From classical music to rock and roll, we offer something for everyone. Our venues provide an intimate and unique concert experience, allowing audiences to connect with the performers in a way that is not possible in larger venues.

Films

CAPA presents a variety of film events throughout the year, including the CBUSArts Film Series, Cinema Columbus Film Festival, and the CAPA Summer Movie Series. These events feature classic films, cult favorites, and new releases, and provide audiences with a unique and memorable cinematic experience.

Educational Programs

CAPA is committed to providing educational opportunities for people of all ages. Our programs include the Passport to Learning Series, Broadway in the Classroom, Community Engagement, Careers in the Arts, Broadway for Kids, Applause Program, and ARISE - Everyone Has A Story To Share. These programs are designed to engage and educate students, teachers, and community members about the performing arts.
