We also understand that having to wait a long time for treatment can increase your anxiety. Therefore, we strive to minimize your wait time as much as possible. We offer extended office hours for patients who are unable to take time off work for treatment and we offer a wide range of treatments, making us a one-stop-shop for your dental needs.

Our services include:

• Cosmetic Dentistry: Nearly everyone has some imperfection in their smile that they'd like to change. Cosmetic dentistry procedures can help. This includes tooth whitening, dental veneers, dental crowns, Invisalign, and more. We can help you get that picture-perfect smile you've always wanted.

• Dentures: If you are missing most or all of your teeth, you'll want to get back to normal as quickly as possible. Dentures can help you do just that. We make the denture-fitting process easy.

• Tooth Extraction: If you have a tooth that is causing problems, we will do everything we can to save the tooth. However, sometimes it's not possible and tooth extraction is necessary. Our dentists have the experience and expertise to make the process as painless as possible.

• Root Canal: If your tooth is severely infected, root canal therapy may be the best option to remove the infection and salvage the structure of the tooth. This is the process of removing the inner portion of the tooth and covering it with a dental filling or crown.

• Invisalign: Invisalign is an alternative to traditional metal braces for resolving mild to moderate malocclusions. This is a system of clear aligners, similar to retainers, that shift teeth into their appropriate positions. Invisalign can be used to treat underbite, overbite, crossbite, open bite, and crooked teeth. Treatment typically takes 12 to 18 months, though milder cases may take less time.

Meet Our Columbus Dentists

We have two highly qualified dentists at Capitol Square Dental:

• Dr. Mehrdad Safavian: Dr. Safavian is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. He attended Xavier University as an undergrad and graduated from The Ohio State University with his Doctor of Dental Surgery. His primary focus is oral surgery, laser treatment, and aesthetic dentistry. Over the years, has received many awards and certifications, including: Design/placement of dentures, Implant-supported dentures. He strives to create a pleasant, successful experience for each and every one of his patients. He is actively involved in the: Ohio Dental Association, American Dental Association, Academy and General Dentist, Columbus Dental Society. His wife, Selma, is a hygienist at the practice. They live in Dublin with their two sons. He regularly serves meals at the local homeless shelter and enjoys watching soccer and playing basketball, as well as reading and going on nature walks with his family.

• Dr. Shaindy Silverstein: Dr. Silverstein relocated to Columbus, Ohio from New York in 2019. She is an endodontist and graduated from New York University in 2009 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery. She is passionate about dentistry, especially endodontics, which is why her specialty is root canal therapy. She strives to stay aware of the latest advancements in the world of dentistry to make sure that her patients receive the best care she can provide.
