At TAD Architects, we believe that good design should not only be aesthetically pleasing but also sustainable and reflective of its environment. With over 23 years of experience, our owner and architect, Tad Dotson, has developed a deep understanding of the importance of collaboration between client and architect. Our core design philosophy is centered around reflecting the environment, using vernacular materials that have strong connections to local use and traditions. We strive to deliver thoughtful, well-crafted design solutions for both residential and commercial projects. Our goal is to create special places that not only meet but exceed our clients' visions.

Experience

Tad's passion for architecture began at an early age, helping his father on construction sites and projects. He further developed his skills by earning a Masters of Architecture from SCAD, Savannah College of Art & Design. Tad's professional journey includes working with DWB Architects, Inc., focusing on educational facility projects, and Culpepper, McAuliffe and Meaders, where he designed and coordinated projects in the hospitality industry. His experience also includes working with Bowers, Ellis and Watson Architects as a Project Manager, overseeing large architectural and construction endeavors. Currently, Tad is the owner and architect at T.A.D. Architect, PLLC, where he continues to apply his expertise in management, hospitality, education, and commercial architecture.
