Kids Depot Child Care

At Kids Depot Childcare Center, we are a community of professional teachers and support staff dedicated to nurturing the spirit of young children in our care and providing them and their families with a loving, safe, educational, and Christian environment. We strive to meet the needs of families by providing a safe place where their child can be cared for while they are elsewhere, providing nutritional meals, and providing professional, competent, and loving adults who understand the developmental needs of young children.

Our Philosophy

Our purpose is to provide a half-day or full-day program that helps children learn basic Christian values, develop skills that foster a sense of competence, feel loved as a unique and special person, and develop positive ways of interacting with children and adults. We believe that children learn best through play and exploration, and our developmentally appropriate program schedule is designed to provide a flexible balance of active and quiet play, individual and group activities, and indoor and outdoor activities.

Curriculum

We use Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold as our curriculum and assessment tool. We also stress Christian principles and values. Our activities are designed to promote learning and development in all areas, including literacy, numeracy, social-emotional learning, and physical activity.

Child Guidance

Our child guidance policy is designed to encourage each child to grow and develop as a social being and to achieve a secure environment in which the child and staff can interact. We believe that positive relationships and a safe and nurturing environment are essential for young children's growth and development.

Parent Involvement

We encourage parental involvement and welcome parents to visit at any time. We also invite parents to join us on field trips and to eat lunch with their child's class. We believe that parents are an integral part of our program and we value the contributions they bring.

Ages Served

We serve children from 6 weeks to 5 years of age, and up to 10 years old during the summer. Our center is licensed for 75 children.
