Our History
Charles P. Arcaro Funeral Home was founded by Charles P. Arcaro, a Wilmington native who received his funeral director's license in 1964. In 1970, he purchased a funeral home at 1810 West 4th Street and became the successor to the Joanna Corleto Funeral Home, naming his establishment the Charles P. Arcaro Funeral Home. In 1973, a new facility was opened at 2309 Lancaster Avenue, where we continue the tradition of high-level service through the quality and care that is expected.
Our Staff
Our staff of licensed funeral directors and funeral assistants are available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Our staff is committed to providing the highest level of service to each family, taking into account their unique needs and preferences. Our staff includes Charles P. Arcaro, Licensed Funeral Director, Founder, and Owner; Elizabeth G. Arcaro, Co-owner, and Treasurer; Rosemarie Arcaro, RN, and Licensed Funeral Director; Carl Arcaro, Funeral Assistant; Rena Longo, Licensed Funeral Director; and John Infante, Funeral Assistant.
Our Locations
Our funeral home is located at 2309 Lancaster Avenue, Wilmington, DE 19805. Our facility is modern, spacious, and completely handicapped accessible. We have decorated in bright, soothing colors to provide a relaxed and home-like environment. Our viewing parlor can accommodate a large number of family and friends for visitation, and is also an ideal choice for conducting smaller, more intimate services.
