Founded as Jack's Automobile Service, we have evolved to meet the needs of our customers, providing the latest equipment and technology while maintaining the personal touch that comes with a local business.
Our main goal is customer confidence. We offer a 3 year/ 36,000 mile parts and labor warranty on all repairs and diagnosis, and our warranty is valid nationwide through our affiliation with the NAPA Auto Care program. We understand that automotive problems can be frustrating and often arise at inconvenient times, and we do our best to guide customers in making decisions that best suit their situation.

Our History
Legacy Auto-Tech was founded by Jack Kamp in 1964 as a full-service Marathon gas and service station. Jack was the owner-operator for 42 years, building a reputation for quality service and honesty. In 2007, Jack retired and sold the shop to Andy Pollina and James Lorenz, who continued to operate the business under the same name, maintaining the level of service that Jack built his reputation on. In 2014, Andy became the sole owner and renamed the shop Legacy Auto-Tech to honor Jack's legacy.
Meet the Owner
Andy Pollina, Owner
Andy was born and raised on the southeast side of Grand Rapids. He graduated from Ottawa Hills High School in 1994 and went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree in Audio Engineering from Columbia College in Chicago. After working in the recording industry, he became interested in the automotive industry and started out in an entry-level position at Classic Chevrolet. He received several years of GM technical service training, becoming Master Certified with an additional Advanced Level Engine Performance Certification. With several years of experience at Classic Chevrolet, Andy branched out to working on various makes and models, leading him to become the owner of Legacy Auto-Tech.
