History of Excellence

Room For Growing Educational Child Care Center has a rich history that dates back to 1983. Our journey began in a church basement and has since grown to four centers in the northern suburbs of the Twin Cities. Two centers are located in Forest Lake, one in Chisago, and one in North Branch. Each of our centers offers a flexible, comprehensive preschool program, a stimulating and nurturing environment for infants and toddlers, and a half-day kindergarten prep program.

Philosophy and Practices

At Room For Growing, we believe that every child is a unique individual with their own strengths and abilities. Our main goal is to develop happy and secure children by fostering independence, developing a positive self-worth, and building confidence. We also believe that parents are the most important people in the lives of their children and we are committed to establishing and promoting healthy parent partnerships.

Accreditation and Quality Care

Our centers are nationally accredited and 4-Star Parent Aware Rated, recognizing our commitment to providing high-quality care and education. Our curriculum is designed to give children opportunities to explore in the areas of math, science, art, sensory, and reading readiness. We have created environments and classrooms that foster independent learning and safe exploration. We also offer extra classes in music, dance, Spanish, soccer, computer, and Karate.

Safety and Security

The safety and security of our children and staff are of utmost importance to us. All of our facilities have a security system to enter the building and classroom monitor cameras. We also employ a full-time cook who prepares meals on site, and we participate in the state food program. Breakfast, lunch, and two snacks are provided to our children daily.

Learning Programs

We offer a range of learning programs for children from 6 weeks to 6 years old. Our Infant program provides care for children from 6 weeks to 18 months old, while our Toddler program caters to children from 18 months to 3 years old. Our Early Preschool program is designed for children from 3 to 4 years old, while our Preschool program is for children from 4 to 5 years old. Each program is designed to provide a stimulating and nurturing environment that fosters learning and development.
