As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Sacramento since 1994, I provide counseling for adults, individuals, and families, specializing in adolescent issues and assisting parents and families. I also provide private mediation for child custody issues and the development of parenting plans to assist parents in their efforts to co-parent. I aim to help individuals identify their desired growth goals, pursue those goals, and improve their communication skills, while facilitating a safe and constructive environment for parents to reach agreements on custody, vacation, and holiday schedules.

A key component of the counseling process is to emphasize what is necessary to achieve and maintain lifelong sobriety. Relapse prevention is focused on throughout the process as well as total body health through mindfulness, proper diet, exercise, and sleep hygiene practices. David Gust specializes in substance use, addiction, codependency, and dual diagnosis issues. He works exclusively with the adult male population (25-year-olds and up) and has a wide range of backgrounds and circumstances.
