Green Cove is a traditional and unique summer camp for girls, ages 6 to 17, located in the Mountains of Western North Carolina. Our program emphasizes outdoor activities such as horseback riding, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, mountain biking, and rock climbing. We believe in fun, adventure, safety, and great instruction. Our program is non-competitive, which encourages experimentation, and non-regimented, which fosters self-direction.
The campers praised the camp's nurturing environment, variety of activities, and emphasis on independence and self-confidence, leading to increased confidence and self-esteem.
The only negative comment was a camper's complaint about being forced to dance with a boy in a co-ed event, but this was not a reflection on the overall positive experience.
