At Fit Happens, we believe in the power of fitness to transform lives. For over 19 years, we've been dedicated to providing a unique fitness experience that is friendly, judgment-free, and tailored to meet the needs of individuals of all ages and fitness levels. Our state-of-the-art facility boasts four workout areas, each designed to offer a unique experience separate from the rest of the gym, ensuring superior space and privacy for our members.

Our Services

We offer a wide range of services to cater to different fitness goals and preferences. Our general gym area is equipped with pin setting machines, free weights, and dumbbells, suitable for body building, muscle toning, or any other workout routine. The circuit area features pin setting machines for a complete total body workout. For those who prefer cardio, our world-class cardio theater is equipped with treadmills, elliptical machines, bikes, and other cardiovascular equipment, accompanied by a 16 x 10 foot big screen TV with Dolby Digital surround sound.

In addition to our gym facilities, we offer over 100 aerobics classes each month. These classes range from low-impact stretching and yoga to high-intensity boot camp and total knockout. Our spinning classes, complete with special lighting and motivating music, are a favorite among our members. We also provide tanning services for a nominal fee or at a special discount for our members.

Our History

Fit Happens has been a mainstay in the community for over 17 years. We started as a small 2,100 square foot Personal Training Studio on Route 30A in Johnstown. As we grew and evolved to meet the needs of our community, we expanded to a full gym, adding more equipment and an aerobics program. Today, we occupy a 10,000 square foot facility located in Gloversville, NY, offering a full-range fitness center that accommodates a growing number of people with diverse interests and needs.

Our Aerobic Classes

Our aerobic classes are designed to cater to different fitness levels and preferences. Some of our popular classes include:

  • ABS: A class focused on lower abdominals, upper abdominals, obliques, and core strengthening.
  • Ball: A low-impact workout using stability balls to improve endurance, balance, and flexibility while strengthening the core.
  • Boot Camp: A high-intensity class that combines running, roping, jumping, sit-ups, push-ups, and drills to push participants past their perceived limits.
  • Circuit: A total body conditioning workout that alternates strength/resistance training with high-impact cardio.
  • Cardio Tone: A fun and motivating class that combines cardio moves with resistance and weight training for a total body workout.
