At BG's BoatHouse Restaurant, we're proud to be a beloved waterfront seafood restaurant in Portsmouth, NH, celebrating 47 seasons of serving the freshest seafood on the seacoast. Our story began in 1978 when Bruce and Joanne Graves founded the restaurant, building it from the ground up from the former Henry's Lobster Pound. Today, the restaurant is owned and operated by the Graves family, with Jeff and Lori taking great pride in preparing delicious seafood dishes for locals and visitors alike.

Our Story

Bruce and Joanne Graves, both lifelong residents of Seacoast, Portsmouth, NH, were not only entrepreneurs but also politically active. Bruce served two terms as Mayor of Portsmouth beginning in 1973, and Joanne worked for former NH State Senators John Durkin and Thomas McIntyre. The Graves family has maintained a strong commitment to their community, and their restaurant has become a staple in the area.

Our Services

At BG's BoatHouse Restaurant, we offer a unique dining experience with a cozy waterfront atmosphere. Our menu features a variety of seafood dishes, including our famous lobster roll, plump fried clams, tender steamers, and fresh grilled or blackened fish. We have a full boiled lobster dinner, and our Kid's Menu is available for our younger guests. Our Cocktail Menu is carefully crafted to complement our seafood dishes. We also have a marina with one docking slip available for guests arriving by boat.
