From its humble beginnings in 1976 to its current revitalization under new ownership, our commitment to providing an exceptional experience for our guests has remained unwavering.

Upstairs, our intimate music venue is the perfect spot to catch a live show, with a brand new sound system and stunning views of the stage from the third-floor balcony.
Our History
The Press Room was founded by Jay Smith, a journalist, musician, and folk music lover, who saw a need for a space where local musicians could perform and their fans could gather. Over the years, we've hosted some of the most iconic names in music, while also nurturing a community of local talent. We've been the site of countless historical moments, from Hoot Nights to Sunday Jazz Series, and our commitment to live music has remained unparalleled.
