The Health Care District of Palm Beach County is a unique organization that has been serving the health needs of the community for over 30 years. Established in 1988, the district is an independent taxing authority that provides a wide range of health care services to the residents of Palm Beach County. Our mission is to promote and protect the health and well-being of our community, and we strive to do so in an efficient and fiscally responsible manner.
Our History
In the early 1980s, Palm Beach County residents recognized the importance of investing in their own health and well-being. They envisioned a community where everyone had access to quality health care services, regardless of their income or social status. To make this vision a reality, they formed the Health Care District of Palm Beach County, which has since become a leading provider of health care services in the region.

Lakeside Medical Center

Edward J. Healey Nursing & Rehabilitation Center
Our Edward J. Healey Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is a 120-bed skilled nursing facility that provides compassionate care to our seniors and individuals with disabilities.
