Located in the heart of Portland's Hollywood neighborhood, Northeast Community Center is an independent non-profit community center dedicated to building and supporting a thriving and resilient intergenerational community in NE Portland. Our mission is to provide physical space and community-responsive programs that promote well-being, foster relationships, empower individuals, and center equity.
Our Facility and Services
Our state-of-the-art facility offers a range of programs and services designed to meet the needs of our diverse community. From fitness and movement classes to aquatics, youth and family programs, and community events, we have something for everyone. Our facility features a fully-equipped gym, group fitness studios, lap pool, community pool, and outdoor spaces perfect for relaxation and recreation.
Fitness and Movement
Stay active and healthy with our extensive fitness program, featuring adult group classes, personal training, and small group training. Our experienced instructors lead classes in a variety of formats, including yoga, Pilates, dance, and more. We also offer drop-in sports and recreational activities, such as basketball, volleyball, and pickleball.
Aquatics
Our aquatics program features lap swimming, community/open swimming, swim lessons, and water aerobics. We also offer private swim lessons, jump start swim, and Red Cross certifications. Our pool is perfect for water-based fitness classes, therapeutic swimming, and relaxation.
Youth and Family Programs
We offer a range of programs designed specifically for youth and families, including after-school programs, sports classes, dance and art classes, spring break camps, and summer camps. Our youth programs focus on developing physical, social, and emotional skills, while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and community involvement.
Community Programs and Events
At Northeast Community Center, we believe in the importance of community involvement and social connection. That's why we offer a range of community programs and events, including volunteer opportunities, community meetings, and social gatherings.
