At Angelina's Kitchen, we're passionate about serving delicious, fresh, and made-from-scratch meals that bring people together. Our story began with a love for food and a desire to share that love with our community. Our journey started in New York, where I grew up surrounded by great cooks, and food was at the center of every gathering. I learned early on that cooking is a beautiful way to express love and care for others.
As a child, I watched my grandma Angelina run a small Italian luncheonette in a tight-knit neighborhood in the Bronx. She always had a huge pot of "Gravy" simmering behind the counter, filling the air with aromas that made everyone's mouth water. I was fascinated by the way she took care of her customers and family, and a passion for good food took root in my heart.
Fast forward to our move to Woodbury, Minnesota, where I fell in love with the community's warm and welcoming atmosphere. However, I missed the small, family-owned eateries that I grew up with and loved so much. A move to Brussels, Belgium, further fueled my passion for cooking, and I was reminded of a time when fresh, home-cooked meals were the norm in every home.
When we returned to Woodbury in 2005, I decided to bring a little piece of my childhood to Minnesota. I began cooking out of my home, delivering home-cooked meals to Woodbury families at dinner time. Within two months, my list grew to 70 families, and it got a little crazy! I decided to find a commercial kitchen and, in July 2006, Angelina's Kitchen opened its doors as a take-out restaurant and caterer.
The first six years were an uphill climb as a small, independent business in a sea of corporate and chain restaurants. But I was determined to succeed. I knew we had something special to offer, and giving up was not an option. Today, Angelina's Kitchen is a full-service restaurant and wine bar with live entertainment every night, in addition to our catering business.
Our menu features a variety of fresh, made-from-scratch dishes, including chicken wraps, grain bowls, and family-style meals. We also offer take-and-bake options and frozen soups and desserts. Whether you're looking for a quick meal on-the-go or a special occasion celebration, we've got you covered.
