Asian Pacific Community Counseling (APCC) is a community-based organization that has been serving the mental health and wellness needs of the Asian and Pacific Islander (API) communities in Sacramento County for over 35 years. Founded in 1976, APCC has evolved from its humble beginnings as "Stepping Stones" to a comprehensive organization providing culturally and linguistically relevant services to the diverse API communities.
Our Mission
Our mission is to promote the mental health and wellness of the Asian and Pacific Islander communities through culturally and linguistically relevant outreach, prevention, education, therapy, counseling, and recovery support services. We recognize that mental health is an essential part of overall health and wellness, and we strive to provide services that address the unique needs of the API community.
Our Services
At APCC, we offer a range of services designed to meet the diverse needs of the API community. Our services include:
- Transcultural Wellness Center (TWC): Our largest program, funded by the Sacramento County Division of Behavioral Health Services, provides a full range of coordinated therapeutic and support services for all ages, including children, transitional age youth, adults, and older adults.
- Individual, Group, and Family Therapy: We offer individual, group, and family therapy services, tailored to the unique needs of each client.
- Medication Support Services: Our team provides medication support services, ensuring that clients receive the best possible care.
- Community Support Services: We offer community support services, including case management, peer support, and educational programs.
- Prevention and Education Programs: Our prevention and education programs focus on promoting mental health, reducing stigma, and empowering individuals and communities to take control of their mental wellness.
