Our Philosophy

At Cincinnati Fitness & Boxing, we believe that everyone has the potential to benefit from the unique training methods associated with boxing. Our vision is to break down the intimidation factor often associated with traditional boxing gyms, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where individuals of all fitness levels and backgrounds can discover the power of this athletic discipline. Our Story

Cincinnati Fitness & Boxing (CFB) was established in 2009 by Jeff Perry, a passionate boxing enthusiast with a vision to share the benefits of this ancient sport with the wider community. Jeff, a certified level II USA Boxing coach, sought to create a genuine boxing gym where individuals could train like a fighter, regardless of their experience or aspirations. From day one, CFB has fostered a tight-knit community, welcoming individuals from all walks of life who share a common desire to learn, grow, and push their personal boundaries. Over the years, CFB has become a central hub for boxing enthusiasts in the Cincinnati area. We've had the privilege of coaching one of the few high school boxing teams in the country, nurturing young athletes and guiding them on their journey to becoming skilled and confident boxers. Moreover, we've cultivated a thriving University of Cincinnati Boxing Club, transforming it from a fledgling initiative into one of the most formidable collegiate boxing teams in the nation.

The success of CFB extends beyond the ring. Our gym has become a unique platform for individuals and groups to enhance their fitness, learn valuable self-defense skills, and experience the camaraderie of a supportive community. We've hosted countless private classes and training sessions for diverse groups, including UC surgeons, FC Cincinnati athletes, Xavier basketball players, disadvantaged youth groups, fraternities and sororities, youth football teams, and even international amateur boxers from Ireland. Our diverse clientele is a testament to the inclusive and adaptable nature of our training programs.

  • Jeff Perry, Owner & Head Coach:

Jeff, the founder of CFB, brings his extensive boxing knowledge and coaching expertise to every class and training session. He is a certified Level II USA Boxing Coach and holds the esteemed National Collegiate Boxing Association (NCBA) Coach of the Year Award from 2019. Jeff's leadership has steered CFB to become a recognized force in the boxing community, impacting the lives of countless individuals.

  • Marty Slone:

With over 10 years of experience as a professional kickboxer and a deep understanding of various martial arts, Marty is a valuable asset to our team. He runs the Kids/Family MMA program and Strength Training classes, providing expert guidance and training to individuals of all ages and fitness levels. Marty's passion for fitness extends beyond the gym, as evidenced by his inspiring fundraising efforts for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

  • Lonnie Scott:

Lonnie, a seasoned martial artist and Army veteran, brings his wealth of knowledge and experience to CFB. As a USA Boxing official and professional boxing referee, Lonnie ensures the highest standards of safety and fairness in our training environment. He specializes in helping new boxers develop their technique, mitt work, and overall boxing skills.
