Excellence in Construction, Personalized Service

At Cornerstone Campus Preschool, we believe that learning is a hands-on and creative process that engages children in direct experiences, appropriate for their stage of development. Our mission is to create a stimulating, emotionally supportive environment in which each child can grow and thrive. We encourage children to become independent learners who are confident in their abilities and capable of managing themselves.

Our Philosphy and Programs

We offer half-day programs for children ages 2.9-5 years old and an extended day Prek class for children 4.6 years and older. Our curriculum is based on the "Guidelines for Preschool Learning Experiences" developed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). Our programs are designed to provide a nurturing and engaging environment for young children, with small class sizes and a low student-to-teacher ratio.

Program Highlights

  • Small class sizes with a 1:5-7 teacher-child ratio
  • Indoor gymnasium, music room, and enclosed outdoor play area
  • Nutritional snack provided by the school
  • Music instruction provided by a music specialist
  • "Lunch Bunch" hour offered daily from 11:45 am - 12:45 pm

Our History

Cornerstone Campus Preschool was founded in 1994 and is a non-profit preschool owned by First Baptist Church of Wollaston in Quincy and governed by the Church's Preschool Committee. We do not provide religious instruction and welcome families of all faiths and backgrounds.

Admissions Process

We follow a specific admissions process to ensure a smooth transition for new students. Our admissions timeline includes:

  • Through December 2023: Prospective parents can add their name to the waiting list for the 2024-2025 school year by contacting the Director.
  • Late January 2024: Director sends out email and postcard notification of our Open House to families for whom we have an opening. If you chose to enroll your child at the Open House, you will need to fill out a Pre-Registration form and pay a non-refundable $50 enrollment fee.
  • March - June 2024: Typically all sessions will be filled for the following school year by May, but parents are welcome to stay on the waiting list in the event that an enrolled child is withdrawn.

FAQs

We understand that enrolling your child in preschool can be a complex process. To help alleviate any concerns, we provide regular updates on our admissions process and encourage parents to contact us with any questions.
