Arlington Unitarian Cooperative Preschool (AUCP) has been a beloved cornerstone of the Arlington community for over 50 years. Founded by a group of dedicated parents in 1969, our half-day cooperative preschool has proudly nurtured the social, intellectual, and physical development of countless young minds.

Our curriculum is meticulously designed to cultivate curiosity, inspire exploration, and empower children to become confident, independent thinkers. Through playful exploration, children learn fundamental skills in math, literacy, science, and social-emotional development. Our qualified teachers guide their journeys, providing individualized attention and encouragement every step of the way.

As a cooperative preschool, we believe in the power of shared responsibility and community involvement. Parents play a vital role in the operation of AUCP, co-oping in the classroom, volunteering on committees, and maintaining our beautiful building and grounds. This collaborative approach fosters a strong sense of ownership and fosters a sense of belonging for the entire AUCP family.

Outdoor Learning: Exploring the Natural World

Beyond the traditional classroom setting, our 3- and 4-year-old classes embark on weekly adventures in our dedicated outdoor classroom at nearby Long Branch. This unique program encourages curious exploration, fostering a deep appreciation for the natural world.
